'I guess everyone grows up!' Justin Bieber's delight as he tweets picture of a bra thrown onstage by fan
His actions have made it very clear that he no longer wishes to be seen as a child star.
And Justin Bieber took to his Instagram on Sunday to remind the world that he is not the only one who is getting older.
The 19-year-old pop star shared a lone bra lying face down on the stage from his show - an expression of support from an overly excited fan.
Where shrilling pre-teens would have previously thrown stuffed animals and held glittery signs in the air, young women are now tossing their undergarments onstage.
Justin has recently come under siege for his reported partying, smoking and poor driving habits.
But it can't be easy becoming a man under constant scrutiny.
When accepting the Milestone Award during the Billboard Music Awards in May, he stood up for himself while a handful of crowd members booed.
'I'm 19 years old,' he said. 'I think I'm doing a pretty good job.
'Basically from my heart I really just want to say it should be about the music. It should be about the craft that I'm making.
'This is not a gimmick, and I'm an artist, and I should be taken seriously.'
