Call the Black Widow! Chris Evans' Captain America struggles during fight scene with the Winter Soldier as filming with Scarlett Johansson continues
He's one of the most powerful superheroes around.
But even Captain America can be overpowered, as Chris Evans proved while shooting a fight scene alongside Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier on Thursday.
Evans, who was in his normal clothes as his civilian alter-ego Steve Rogers, appeared to be struggling as he filmed the adrenaline-fuelled sequence.
Perhaps he could have done with
some help from Scarlett Johansson, who has been seen shooting scenes as
the Black Widow alongside Evans this week.
The 28-year-old actress was nowhere to be seen during the fight scene, as Stan, dressed in full garb as the Winter Soldier, left Evans bruised and beaten.
The day previously, however, Scarlett was seen toting her gun around set as she and Evans teamed up to take on the villain.
Judging by on-set filming pictures of the movie, the sequel looks set to be even more exciting than the first film.
Other shots from Friday's filming showed Stan suspended from wires as he shot a scene which saw him jump over a wall of the West Shoreway in Cleveland, Ohio.
Explosions and fireballs were also seen on the set, following the police's attempts to take down the Winter Soldier.
In the
first installment of the blockbuster Captain America franchise
Sebastian's character Bucky Barnes died midway through the film.
But he made a lasting impression as he was Steve, aka Captain America's, closest friend.
In the latest installment Bucky takes on a devastating significance as he is resurrected as a super cyborg set upon destruction.
While
the film may depart in some ways from the Marvel Comics plot line, the
original Bucky becomes The Winter Soldier after being resurrected by
Soviets to become an unstoppable assassin, decades after his death
fighting alongside Captain America in WWII.
In the present era Bucky aka The Winter Soldier suffers amnesia and is turned into Cap's most dangerous enemy.
Chris reprises his role as Captain America along with Samuel L. Jackson, who plays tough guy Nick Fury, in the new film.
