He's still going! Arnold Schwarzenegger chomps cigar as he arrives on the set of new film Sabotage
At 65 and with successful careers in bodybuilding and politics behind him you would think he would enjoy putting his feet up.
But
Arnold Schwarzenegger continued his Hollywood comeback by filming
scenes for his latest film Sabotage in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Amusingly the healthy living advocate was indulging in one of his great loves, chomping cigars, as he arrived for work.
Ready to roll? Arnold Schwarzenegger chomped on a cigar as he arrived to film scenes for Sabotage in Los Angeles on Wednesday
The pensioner looked more like JR Ewing than an action man in a six gallon hat, shirt jeans and cowboys boots.
And the Austrian Oak topped off his look with a pair of aviator sunglasses as he plodded along to the set.
Arnold insists he is as viable a screen hardman as ever, saying: 'Age doesn't mean anything to me, because I work out every day.
'I work out twice a day, as a matter of fact. At night I work out with weights, and in the morning I do cardiovascular training.
'Even
though you do feel the pain when you wipe out and when you do your
fight scenes and you get more sore and the body doesn't come back as
quickly and all this.
Do you want to be terminated? Arnold did not look amused when a lackey reached for his cigar
Not out of puff: Arnold looked like he was raring to go as he made his way towards the set for filming
No pipe and slippers for him: The Austrian Oak seems to prefer cowboy boots and chunky cigars
'But just grind through it, you know? That's what it's all about!'
But
the former Governor of California is not the only famous beefcake
starring in the picture, which tells the story of members of an elite
task force which begins they are being targeted one by one after they
steal from a drug cartel.
For True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello has admitted he got to work with his hero after landing a role in the picture.
And he said Arnold would give him tips on how to make himself look bigger in photographs.
The
Magic Mike star said: 'We had a photoshoot for the movie poster. I was
wearing a sleeveless top, crossing my arms and flexing.
'Arnold
came in and said, "I see you’re flexing your biceps. Don’t do that.
Keep it loose and with crossed arms put the other hand back to push the
muscle forward – you’ll get an extra three inches."'
Back to fitness: He obviously took a refresher course in his tome The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding going by his physique
