That looks dangerous! Edie Falco straps her daughter and son to her as she drives all three of them on her electric bike
While it is natural for a mother to be
protective of her children, actress Edie Falco seems to have things a
little confused while driving her two children in New York.
The actress was spotted on her electric bike on Thursday with her daughter Macy, 5, and son Anderson, 8, strapped securely to her body.
And while the 49-year-old TV star made sure all wore safety helmets, on lookers must have been concerned for the family's safety as they zipped around the city.
The family of three were tied together with what looked like a brown karate belt, keeping the three tied at the waist.
Macy was perched on her mother's lap at the front of the bike, while Anderson was on the edge of the seat at the back.
The method of travel looked a little precarious, and along with a pink bag hanging at the back, the balance could be a little difficult to maintain.
It is not the first time the actress has been spotted riding around with her children strapped to her.
In September last year, Edie was spotted driving around town with Macy strapped to her and sitting on her lap.
Again, both wore helmets as they buzzed around the busy streets, but even just one passenger looked a little unsafe.
Edie was driving a FlyKly Electric Bike which is classed as a regular bicycle in the US - meaning that the environmentally friendly bike can be driven with a young passenger up to a speed of 20mph.
Motoring laws in the US differ from state to state and while riding with more than 1 person is illegal in Ohio and Michigan, the state of New York does not currently support such a ban.
The actress has lovingly talked about
her adopted children in the past, and discussed bringing them to her
Nurse Jackie set during filming.
'I'm careful about what they see,' she told Conan O'Brien last month, adding: 'My 5-year-old doesn't like the blood and the prosthetics. My 5-year-old calls action.'
She then went on to joke, 'They're around a lot. It's like having little gremlins on the set.'
