Sharon Osbourne has been filmed saying she "loved" Tulisa Contostavlos getting arrested, although her representative later claimed that she was in fact answering another question.
The X Factor judge, who replaced the N-Dubz star on the ITV show, made the comments while leaving the first round of auditions in Glasgow on Tuesday.
Asked by a Daily Record reporter how she felt about Tulisa being arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs, Osbourne quipped: "I loved it!"
The shocked journalist replied: "You can't say that, that won't look good on paper," to which Osbourne laughed.
She later backtracked on her comments, with a rep for the star insisting she was answering a different question.
Meanwhile, Tulisa is said to be in a "very fragile" state of mind following her arrest.
"For all her bravado, she is just a vulnerable 24-year-old girl. She's very fragile, and this whole experience has put a huge amount of pressure on her," a source toldThe Mirror.
"She has always come across as confident and self-assured, but the reality is she has the weight of the world on her shoulders and is very shaken.
"Having your house raided, fingerprints taken and a DNA swab from your mouth would be quite harrowing for even a hardened criminal - and Tulisa is not that."
