Rocking out! Ellie Goulding wears monochrome as she whips her hair around during energetic performance at Rockness Festival
She might be better known for her chart-topping pop and dance-inspired tracks.
But Ellie Goulding looked more like a rock star on Friday as she whipped her hair around while performing on the first day of the Rockness Festival in Inverness.
Dressed in a striking monochrome outfit, the 26-year-old bounded manically across the stage during her set, before trying her hand at drumming.
And the Starry Eyed hitmaker
sang in front of a raucous crowd at the musical extravaganza, which is
held on the shores of Loch Ness.
Performing her best known hits, Ellie wore a pair of skintight shiny black leggings, with a white tank top and jumper over the top.
The dramatic colour match offset her pale complexion and bleach blonde hair which she whipped around as she sang into the mic.
As the set got going, Ellie
decided to take off her black jumper after starting to heat up,
revealing the top which had the words 'come on' emblazoned across the
front.
Clearly getting into it, the singer then made her way over to the drum kit and showed off her skills to the crowd as she started banging away.
Jessie Ware also decided on a monochrome look, matching a high-waited white mini-skirt with a black cropped top.
Speaking about her love for dance music recently, Ellie told The Daily Record:
'I have always had a real affinity with electronic music and dance
music. It’s something I have never been able to shake off. I just love
it so much.'
'Playing one of the big dance festivals has always been a dream, something I really wanted to do,' she added.
Ellie is joined at the festival, which was started by Fatboy Slim in 2006, by acts including Plan B, Example and Madness.
The blonde star has been spending a lot of time with pal Rita Ora this week, spotted tagging along on a date night with her and Calvin Harris in London on Wednesday.
