Taylor Swift dons tiny hotpants as she rocks out onstage with Keith Urban and Tim McGraw at CMA Music Festival

She went from demure to vampish at the Country Music Television awards on Wednesday night.

And it appears playing the vixen is where Taylor Swift feels most comfortable.

The 23-year-old showed off her long legs in tiny black hotpants as she performed onstage with Keith Urban and Tim McGraw at another country music event, this time at the CMA festival in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday.

Doing their thing: The trio dazzled together onstage with their musical talents

The singer looked to be in her element as she threw her head back while strumming on her red glittering guitar, her hair billowing around her as she sang.

Taylor paired the high-waisted hotpants with a sleeveless white lace blouse that she tucked into the waistband of her shorts.

She wore crimson red lipstick and styled her ash blonde hair in loose waves over her shoulders.

Taylor told reporters prior to her performance at the week-long festival that she's ready to start working on new music less than eight months after release her fourth studio album Red.

'It's starting,' she said. 'All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually.'

But Taylor said the process takes time.
'Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away,' she said. 'I'm going to like it, but it's going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project.'

'I think you need to change up your influences. I think you need to be inspired by different things than you were inspired by before,' she added.

The pop and country star has hit the news this week following her spirited performance the previous night as well the release of her new music video for her single Everything Has Changed.

Taylor wore an ethereal cream sequined dress on the red carpet at Wednesday's awards show before changing into a skimpy black-and-red number for her performance onstage.

Meanwhile, the video for her new single - a duet with Ed Sheeran - debuted this week, and enlists a couple of cute mini-me lookalike children to play out their roles.
